Bracelet: This shooting star bracelet, was made by Paul Flato. For Mrs. Peter Otaway, in New York. This piece being extravagant, would be for a more wealthy person. It is made with a lot of platinum, which was becoming very popular. It is covered in diamonds. The time had returned to accepting dressing wealthy. Women would want to show things off like bracelets, wearing sleeveless shirts and evening gloves encouraged women to wear bracelets. Stylized geometric motifs emerged. High value faceted gemstones returned, Stones would cover a surface with overlapping blocks of gemstones baguette cuts and new styles. There was less enamel and more focus on contrast, between stones and metals.

In this piece the motif was repeated which was very common. The linear form was also popular for the time.
